An amazing story was told by Ivan Nevinnyi from Kharkiv, Ukraine, which happened to him yesterday. Ivan is volunteering at this difficult time for Ukraine. He helps both people and animals.
Recently, friends from the front wrote to him and asked him to pick up a wounded dog. The dog only walked on his front legs. The back legs were dragging on the ground. The dog was very whiny. Without the care of the men, he would not last. Ivan could not stay away and drove his car to help.
The volunteer couldn’t figure out where to go for a long time and spent several hours looking for the right dog.

At the @doverie_kharkov veterinary clinic, Ivan was asked what the dog’s name was. “Ryan“, – Ivan answered. Like in the movie “Saving Private Ryan.” The dog-hero had been through a lot, so that name suited him best.
The doctors’ examination and X-rays showed that the dog had a severe fracture. But after surgery, she would have to walk.
Moreover, Ryan tried to stand on his hind legs. Ivan said the dog’s courage brought him to tears.
Ryan the dog is now under the care of doctors and will be fine. The vet clinic is collecting money to cover all the costs of his treatment.
Surgery and rehabilitation are ahead for this handsome boy. The clinic will be looking for new owners for Ryan in the future.
