Art is different, sometimes strange, sometimes original and provocative. But in any case, it surprises us and brings new facets of being and existence into our lives.
We see art in music, poems and paintings, but there are people who present it to us in a very different way.
Today we want you to meet a man named Andoni Bastorrica. He used to work as a therapist and later opened his own fruit store.
As Andoni told, it was probably during that period of his life that he learned to perceive everything with his hands, thanks to touch.
One day, several years ago, Bastorrica was at the beach all day with his daughters, they were sculpting a sand sculpture and then the man realized that he had found his talent.
Andoni is self-taught; he never studied to be a sculptor. But fate and a lifetime of experience decided otherwise.
For one sculpture, the man needs 500-1500 kilograms of sand. He works without gloves, with his bare hands, as he likes to feel the material.
One sculpture can take from 6 to 12 hours.
